Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community trek proposes a wide variety of magnificent scenery, peace and isolation, and the experience of so many diverse Himalayan cultures that provide inner tranquility. The stunning turquoise Khayar Lake is the major attraction of this area, along with the panoramic sunrise view of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Nilgiri, etc. The recently opened trail in the Annapurna region leads you toward hospitable dwellers, Gurungs, and Magars. This is a unique trekking course in Nepal due to its objective – to empower the inhabitants of Parbat and Myagdi Districts to help with the education system of community-based schools in the villages. The beautiful path provides a layer of majestic topography to enlighten your trip. This is an “off-beaten” trek that allows you to witness the original primeval life of the Nepalese. Day 1: Arrival to Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel

Day 2: Guided Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley

The next morning after breakfast you will leave for a full day sightseeing tour around the Kathmandu valley. You will visit the center of pilgrimage Pashupatinath Hindu Temple and Swyambhunath. These are very ancient and historical pride of Nepal importantly enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites. The biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhnath and the fine arts and historical architecture of Kathmandu Durbar Square reflect the uniqueness and diversity in Nepalese culture. On the journey back to the hotel, you can travel around the local areas, gullies and lifestyle. You can perhaps take a relaxed walk through the famous streets like Thamel.

Day 3: Drive/Fly to Pokhara

Either take a flight OR Drive by tourist coach from Kathmandu to Pokhara by scenic Prithivi high way which will take you about 6-hour drive including time for lunch on the way. The Bus will drop you to the hotel. Welcome drinks will be served in a hotel than a short time for refreshment. In the evening you can go for a boating trip on Phewa Lake will follow where you can enjoy the spectacular views of Annapurna Himalayan Range reflected in all its glory in the calm green waters of the lake and visit the Barahi temple which is only accessible by boat. f you take a flight, it takes only 30 minutes. Day 4: Drive to Galeshwor, Trek to Banskharka

After Breakfast at Hotel, we will drive by tourist car to Beni for 3 hours. After reaching Beni (900mtr.), a 30-minute short walk to lunch place at Galeshwor. Then crossing the suspension bridge at Lame AAhal above Kaligandaki River than climb to Banskharka village. It offers mesmerizing views of landscape/downhill, Dhaulagiri Mountain ranges, an Organic farm, Orange garden, a typical village, very friendly local people. You will be welcomed by local community staff at the Community dining hall with fresh Orange Juice. After short refreshment, escort to the room at a typical home-stay with a local family. Day 5: Trek to Nangi Village

After Having hot Breakfast at Banskharka, we follow the north-west uphill to Danda Kateri (2009 mtr.) through the forest walk with beautiful nature walk. There are no tea houses till Danda Karetri, while arriving Danda Kateri than we will take lunch at Community Dining Hall with the views of Dhaulagiri ranges and a closer view of Nangi Village. Easy trail continuous heading the Nangi village. Overnight at Nangi Community Lodge. Nangi is a small village in the mid-hills of Nepal which is located in western Nepal on the Southern flank of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges of the Himalayas. While members of the village have been working to develop Nangi’s resources and build needed facilities for the community, the people have also tried to maintain their way of life, constructing homes, preparing food, and preserving traditions that have been practiced by the community for countless generations. Day 6: Trek to Mohare Danda

After Enjoying at Nangi Village, the trail leads all the way uphill to Hampal Danda (Pass) 3098 mtr. It will be a beautiful walk through the jungle. Packed lunch will be recommended because there is not any tea house till Mohare Danda. You will make a dry picnic at Humpal Pass and gradually trek to Mohare Danda. Mohare Danda is the ‘high road’ alternative to the Ghorepani Trek, and follows an alternative trail up from Pokhara itself up to Banskharka, along with to Nangi and Mohare. The treks are along with scented forests of oak, rhododendron, and spruce and sometimes along exposed ridges that offer exhilarating views of Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Gurja Himal, Tukuche Peak, Dhampus Peak, Nilgiri (7061m.), Baraha Shikhar, Annapurna I (8091m) Annapurna South (7219m.), Machhapuchhre/Fishtail (6993m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Lamjung Himal (6983m.), Manaslu (8163m.) and many peaks. Day 7: Trek to Tikot Village

Eary Morning, you will weak up for beautiful sunrise to the Himalayas, You will watch the views of Pokhara Valley as well. Mohore Danda offers, stunning Panoramic views of Himalayas as well as the hills, beautiful landscape, rivers, terrace and so on.. After taking Hot Breakfast, the trail leads downhill to the Danda Kharka than gradually slope/up-down (Nepali Flat) to the Tikot Village through the Jungle of Rhododendron, Oaks, Pines. Local People of Community will welcome you and show their Homestay with very. They are very friendly, hospitality and kind. They will serve you Organic food at the community Dining Hall. You will spend overnight at their small homestay. It is situated at 2250 M. Perhaps one of the most beautiful villages in this trek. Day 8: Trek to swanta village

After Breakfast at Tikot, we will start our trek up and downhill to Khibang (2060m.) Village with the standing views of Annapurna South and the beautiful walk through the local village. You will have hot Lunch at Khibang Community Dining Hall and continue to walk to Swanta through the large Magar Village Shikha. You should register your trekking permit at Shikha check-post (Annapurna Conservation Area Project ACAP), there you will cross the main trekking trail to Ghorepani/Jomsom. After Shikha, the trail leads a flat walk to Ghar Khola and cross the suspension bridge than step climb walk to Swanta Village at 2270m. Day 9: Trek to Chistibang

Day 10: Trek to Khopra Danda

After Breakfast at Chistibang, you will start your walk up to Khopra Danda through the rocky path. It takes around 3 hours by normal walk. You will take hot lunch at Khopra. Khopra Danda is the main viewpoint of this trek. It offers mesmerizing views of Dhaulagiri ranges, Annapurna Ranges. With no doubt, one of the most impressive views anyone can experience the Himalayas. Khopra is an isolated spot that literally stands on one side of Annapurna South at 3660m, above tree-line, higher than clouds and the planes that pass by between Pokhara and Jomsom. You can see the deepest gorge in the world. Its Located in between two high Mountain (Dhaulagiri 8167m. and Annapurna 8091m.). Overnight at Khopra. Free WIFI is available. BLD

Day 11: Side trip to Khayar Lake back to Khopra (8/9 hrs)

Side Trip: If you are Physically and mentally ok, then why not to visit Khayar Barahi Lake at 4660 meters. This route is quite a longe, it takes around 9/10 hours with a normal walk (go and Back), there is not any tea house, you will find only yak/sheep shelter, lakes, water-stream, blue sheep, deer, mountain birds. There are many rest points, temples, (Deuralis), the last part is very steep to climb up to the Khayar Lake. After reaching Lake, you will feel and realize what you have done. there are no words to explain, it looks like paradise. Amazing!!! Back to Khopra Danda. (Pack lunch, energy drink, snakes, water is highly recommended). BLD

Day 12: Trek to Paudwar Village

Leaving Khopra with Hot Breakfast, you will follow the west-left trail all the way downhill through the Rhododendron forest. Paudwar village is a large pun Magar typical village. It is also known as the gateway to Khayar Barahi Temple.. (Pau” means foot and Dwar” means way). This village has local products, agriculture farms, vegetables, cheese factories, schools. Day 13: Trek to Tatopani (Hot Spring)

It takes around 3 hours downhill to Kaligandaki river, after crossing the long suspension bridge than a few minutes walk to Tatopani Village where you will enjoy the hot spring bath in the bank of Kaligandaki river. It is like a natural massage for you after the trek. Tatopani is more commercial compare to other places in this trek. There are many Lodges with hot shower, this place is also the regular path to Mustang-Jomsom valley. Day 14: Drive to Pokhara 6hrs.

Day 15: Fly/Drive to Kathmandu ( 7 hrs. drive, 30 minute by Air)

Normally, above 2000 mtr, you will walk maximum 500-600 meter altitude higher but it depends on the situation and weather condition. Our guide will suggest you on the spot.

Who can do this Trek?

Child above 10 years and adult below 80 years can do this trek according to their physical fitness level.

Are there any steepy up and down?

Some trails are up and down hill with the stone stairs and some are gradually “Nepali Flat”. But, If you are afraid about stairs, trekking stick is recommended.

Is there any Permit needed?

Yes, You need to have Trekking permit to enter Annapuna conservation which is provided by ACAP through Register Trekking company

Normally in trekking areas, there will be basic tea house accommodation with sharing basis room, toilet and bathroom are separate. Cozy room but clean bedsheet, pillow and atmosphere. But, in Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community area trek will be mostly community home stay accommodation and more hospitality than other treks.

What kinds of food and drinks we will get?

Normally in Tea house trek, every guest house serve continental food and mostly they do have menu. They have experienced kitchen staff. But, In Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community Trek, they will serve mostly local organic food from the garden and Himalayan spring water (Boiled).

Is the Guide speak english?

Yes, Our Guides are Government license holder and experienced with the fluent english speaking .

Can porter carry our Baggage?

Yes, Our Porter can carry up to 30 kilograms but 25 kg is recommended.
