Sarangkot Day Hike offers us a tour to one of the most picturesque viewing points in Pokhara. Dwelled at 1600m north of Pokhara valley, it gives us an elegant panoramic view of Annapurna, Mt. Fishtail (Machhapuchhre), Mt.Manaslu, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and many other massifs. The lovely northern view from Sarangkot grants us the magnificent mountain ranges, and the southern view gives us the divine Pokhara city with Fewa Lake, the World Peace Pagoda, and lovely curvy hills extending far and wide. As we hike up, we will pass through lush forests, captivating hill farmlands, and hospitable local villages. With great views and fresh air of Sarangkot, one can feel attuned to quietness and tranquility.
Trek commences with our representative picking you up from your hotel. If you’re in Kathmandu, it will take 2 days for your day hike in Sarangkot as you’ve to drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. And if you’ve set a bigger budget for the trip, you can simply take a flight to Pokhara and finish your trek in just a day, but that would be a lot of rushing. The beautiful village of Pame is a 15-minute drive from Lakeside, which is the start-off point for our hike. Our walk begins from Pame to Sarangkot. This track usually takes 4 hours to reach Sarangkot. The Pame to Sarangkot hiking trail goes through a common but beautiful Nepali village full of untouched raw nature. These villages, though, are near the tourist city of Pokhara; they are so naive and are untouched by so-called modernization. Sarangkot is a superb viewpoint which is very renowned for the panoramic view of Annapurna Mountain and Pokhara city, located on the bank of Fewa Lake. After sunset, drive back to the scenic roads of astounding Pokhara.
