In this particular one day Photography tour, we are offering a heritage tour to three of the most popular destinations in Kathmandu valley and the UNESCO World Heritage site recognized Swayambhunath, Hanuman Dhoka Durbar square, and Patan Durbar square. The single-day tour offers ample of visual retreats to your camera.

Itinerary

Day 1
Photography Trip in Kathmandu Valley

08.00hrs:
Pickup from hotel to Swayambhunath. The driver picks you up from the hotel and drives to Swayambhunath. The drive takes around 20-25 minutes.

08.30hrs:
Photography tour around Swayambhunath.
Once we arrive Swayambhunath, we’ll begin from the main entrance, the big Statues of Buddha at the Façade, the Buddhist spinning prayer wheels, prayer flags, the statues of Buddha, the arts and crafts, the monuments, monasteries, stupas, the Shrine of Swayambhunath, the pond, the jungle, monkeys, locals are the main attraction and retreats to the camera.

10.30hrs:
Drive to Basantapur and collect visuals of the arts and architecture. After our tour in swayambhunath, we’ll drive to Basantapur Durbar square, the former residence to the Nepalese Royals. Basantapur Durbar Square is one of its kind, because of the western influence to the Gaddhi Baithak of Hanumandhoka palace. The durbar square carved out of ancient Newari carvings in the woods and red bricks, the white Hanumandhoka Gaddhi Baithak adds beauty to the glory of the place. The Kumari temple, Kaal Bhairab statue, Gaddhi Baithak, Jaganath temple, Kotilingeshwara Mahadev temple, Mahendreswara temple, Taleju temple, Shiva Parbati temple, Maru Ganesh temple, Bhagawati temple, Saraswati temple, the local lifestyle and souvenirs shops roadside are the major attractions that you camera looks forward to.

13.00hrs:
Drive to Patan and enjoy lunch in a traditional Newari restaurant. After finish the Hanumandhoka Durbar square tour, we’ll drive to Patan which is 30-40 minutes’ drive. We’ll enjoy traditional Newari lunch here, once we arrive at Patan.

13.30hrs:
Photography tour to the Patan durbar square. The Patan durbar square is very rich and prosperous in the arts. The kings here used to be the fonds of arts and architectures. Many famous ancient monuments, temples, and palaces are here which could be the reply to the enthusiasm of the visitors. Krishna Mandir of Patan is one example among many proving the richness in art and architecture. The Taleju Bhawani temple, Vishwanath temple, and Bhimsen temple are other major masterpieces of ancient art and architecture in Patan. The locals, the souvenirs, Newari customs, food, and lifestyle also could be a significant retreat to your lens.

16.00hrs:
Drive back to the hotel in Kathmandu.
After the tour in Patan, we will drive back to our hotel in Kathmandu.
