Short Trek to Everest

8 Days

“Step into the Himalayas – Where Every Trail Leads to Awe.”

The journey begins in Kathmandu, Nepal’s bustling capital, where trekkers usually finalize permits and gear up. A short, scenic flight from Kathmandu takes you to Lukla (2,860m)—the gateway to the Everest region. The tiny airstrip at Lukla is famous for its dramatic mountain setting.

From Lukla, the trek heads north through the Dudh Kosi river valley. The trail passes through charming Sherpa villages like Phakding, where trekkers often spend their first night. Along the way, you’ll cross several suspension bridges draped with prayer flags and walk through pine forests with views of snow-capped peaks peeking through.

The trail gradually climbs toward Namche Bazaar (3,440m), the main trading hub of the Khumbu region. The final ascent to Namche is steep and challenging, but the first views of Mount Everest appear along this stretch on clear days, offering early rewards for your efforts.

Namche is a vibrant town with lodges, bakeries, shops, and stunning views of Kongde Ri, Thamserku, and Ama Dablam. Most trekkers spend an extra day here to acclimatize before heading further into the Everest region.
