Royal Trek in Nepal - 9 Days

The royal trek is a short and easy-going trek along with the magnificent view of Annapurna Mountain. It lies inside the Annapurna region. It is called royal trek because it was one of the trekking tracks for the Nepalese royal family. Prince Charles also walked through this trail during the 1980s along with his 90 people. This trek is filled with cultural experiences with diversified ethnicities and hamlets that reside in this region.

Overview

Royal Trek begins from a beautiful lake reserved city, Pokhara then passes through a Gurung community. The Royal trek is filled with low altitude, typical Nepali villages, terraced fields, lakes including various majestic mountains like Annapurna, Fishtail, Langtang, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Lamjung, etc. This place is recognized by famous people like Mick Jagger, the vocalist of the Rolling Stones. We will make sure you will be spending your week/ vacation fruitfully if you choose Royal Trek as your destination. 

The Royal trek is usually for those people or tourists who are beginners at trekking or hiking. This Royal Trek gives a true impression of uniqueness and lets us capture the traditional lifestyles of the tribes whose ancient religious values and practices have remained unchanged for thousands of years.

 The Royal trekking route is less crowded compared to other trekking areas in the Annapurna region, so you can get closer to nature, culture, and lifestyle. The trekking trail is less crowded which means that it is great for people seeking privacy. This trek is a perfect escape to explore the beauty of nature, glaciers, mountains, new places, and its people with their ethnicities. This trek will consume 6 to 7 days which is relatively short to other trekking trails and also ensure you grant dignified views and scenarios.

Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu

You will be arriving in Kathmandu and our representatives will be picking you up at the airport and escort you to a hotel near Thamel. You can rest for some time and have your meal according to the time. Our representatives may stroll you around the Thamel area where you can buy some souvenirs. After that, you will be served with an authentic Nepali cuisine as dinner.

Day 2
Sightseeing around the city

You will be having your breakfast, then your tour guide will take you for a visit to different and famous places around the valley. You will be observing ancient and historical temples and buildings, some heritage sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Swoyambhunath Stupa which is also known as monkey temple. You will have a pre-trip discussion with our representatives and tour guide in the evening. At this point, you can ask about any queries you might be having and information about the adventure you are going to. You will be spending your night at the hotel.

Day 3
Drive to Pokhara 7hours.

After having your breakfast in the morning, you will depart for Pokhara on a tourist bus. You can view amazing views of fresh green mountains and villages sitting inside the bus. After reaching the city of lakes Pokhara, you will be observing brilliantly standing mount Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Fishtail, Annapurna range, and others. After reaching, you will check in to your hotel, have your lunch then explore the places in Pokhara as well. You can just roam around the lake. Those lakes are known as “Taal” in Nepali which offers fishing, boating, and swimming.

Day 4
Trek to Kalikasthan 1150m./ 5 hours.

You will drive to Bijayapur after your breakfast.after reaching Bijayapur, you will be trekking towards Kalikasthan. You will be waling n hour through the flat paddy fields and cross the river. After crossing the river you will need to climb up the trail to reach Kalikasthan. You will have your lunch on your way. After reaching there, you will rest for some time and explore the surrounding areas. You will have your dinner at a local guesthouse and spend your night there.

Day 5
Trek to Syaklung 1220m. 5/6hrs.

You will be walking through the villages the next day. You’ll walk along the mountain ridge that offers good views over Annapurna and Lamjung Himal. You will visit several villages, its locals, and the forests of the rhododendrons and spending your night at the nearby guesthouse in Syaklung.

Day 6
Trek to Chisapani 1650m./5hrs.

Today, you will be trekking to the highest altitude known for this trek Chisapani which is at an altitude of 1550 meters. You will be walking through the Gurung hamlets which is a great opportunity to observe the local lifestyle. You will see densely rhododendron and Sal trees. After you reach Chisapani, you will be viewing an exotic panoramic scenario of Himalayas. Night stay at a local guest house.

Day 7
Trek to Begnas Lake- Drive to Pokhara 2 hours

After you have your breakfast, you will walk halfway down to the hill to Rupatal and climb about 200 meters to arrive at Sundare Danda. You will have to walk down to Begnas Lake where you will relax an hour of boating. You will be transferred to Pokhara in the hotel then you are free to again explore the lake or buy souvenirs. Day 8
Drive to Kathmandu

Early morning, you will have your breakfast then drive back to Kathmandu for your departure. Even while returning to Kathmandu, you will see the scenic countryside view which makes your journey amazing. You will be escorted to your hotel soon after reaching Kathmandu. From here on you may spend your leisure time catching up with some last-minute shopping you might have missed on the first day.

Day 9
Farewell/ departure

Our representatives will drop you to the airport on the very last day of this journey. Thus, you will have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in such a beautiful country, Nepal.
