Located at 200km west from the heart of Kathmandu, Pokhara is one of the most renowned tourist destinations in Nepal. Famous three out of the ten highest mountains in the world, Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu lived within 30 km (linear distance) of the city. The northern horizon of the city extends a very close panoramic view of the mountain including Mt Macchapuchhre (Fishtail).

Pokhara city is also popularly known as the city of Lakeside; Fewa Lake, Rupa Lake, and Begnas Lake are the most popular lake in the city. Fewa Lake, a freshwater lake in Nepal located in the center of the Pokhara Valley with Tal Barahi Temple in Island form. Day 1
A Full Day Sightseeing in Pokhara Valley

There are a series of activities that you’ll follow in order to make your trek more fascinating and full of memories. Cherish every moment that you will spend in the stunning vicinity of Pokhara. Explore the fabulous Pokhara, if you can encompass it in a day. Here are some of the activities that well do in order to make this day tour a grand success.

Begin your Pre-Trek schedule by freshening up yourself in your standard hotel of Pokhara. After some time of quailing wait, our representative will pick you up in our private van. A very delicious breakfast will be there to tempt you. The breakfast treat is by our agency. We will drive towards Sarangkot Hill so that we won’t miss the aesthetically pleasing sunset.

After our hungry and tempting breakfast, we’ll sightsee the Fewa Lake and boating would be a fantastic selection. We’ll reach the center of Fewa where religious Tal Barahi Temple will be waving at us. You can round on the boat and explore more. The boating will make you smile in glee. After the soothing scenery and everything, we’ll head towards Bindyabasini Temple, one of the divine place to worship Goddess Bhagwati. The temple is regarded as one of the main Shaktipiths of western Nepal. If some myths are believed, then people say that this temple is directly related to the Vindhyachal temple that is in Uttar Pradesh, India.

After visiting the Bindyabasini Temple, you will ride to Peace Pagoda stupa. The Peace Pagoda in Pokhara is an example of calmness and bliss. The Pagoda is landed on top of a small hill and is magnificently displayed in white, symbolizing its pureness and taintless nature. It views the Annapurna Mountains and concurrently reflects on the tranquil Fewa Lake below. Peace Pagoda is a great place for explorers who are in a search of peace and quietude.

After Tour of Peace pagoda, you will drive to Davis Falls. The Davis Falls is a small waterfall and there is nothing much enchanting or even intriguing about the waterfall, except a few splashes here and there. To fully witness its brilliance, one must visit it at the peak of monsoon. During this time, the water drops through the rocky slopes and disappears down an underground tunnel.

After traveling around the Davis fall, you will tour the Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave. The Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave (known in the local tongue as Bhalu Dulo) is identified as one of the longest caves in Nepal with a length that exceeds 2,000 meters. The cave persists across Davis fall, and inside the cave, one can hear the thundering sound of water of Davis fall.

After Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave, you’ll also drive towards alluring Mahendra Cave. Make sure you enjoy there entering in tunnels. When our sightseeing there is over, we’ll hop in our vehicle and drive to International Mountain Museum. After visiting the Cave, you have one place neglected to visit which is the International mountain museum. The International mountain museum in Nepal was created with the aides of the Nepal Mountaineering Association. Many international and national organizations, groups, and individuals have contributed their unremitting support to make the museum till today.

P.S: If you’re in Kathmandu, the tour will last for two days if you choose to drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. And if you choose the early flight you might miss the solid sunset. So it’s better to take two days and explore the beauty of both major cites Kathmandu and Pokhara that is closer to the nation’s heart.
