Himalayan Sky Trail Trek also considered as Cultural Trek is in Dhading district of Nepal which is about 50.4 km away from Kathmandu with panoramic insights of Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal range and Langtang range. The trail offers the mesmerizing view of Ganesh Himal from the closest point. Not only consists of the beauty of Nature with Magnificient snowcapped Himalayas surrounding the trail, river, beautiful waterfalls, forest, and natural hot springs, but also the cultural mix of many ethnic groups including Tamang in the majority with Brahmin, Chhetri, Newar, Magar, Gurung and so on. This is why the trek can also be called Cultural Trek. The wonderful hospitality of the local people, direct interaction with them, engage oneself in their routine activities (if interested) with organic food during the trek as the major accommodation are the Homestays during the trek and concluding the 5 nights 6 days tour with adventurous activity i.e. Rafting in Trisuli River of Nepal adds a plus point for the tourists’ experience.

Overview

Another major beauty and jewel is the outstanding and jaw-dropping view of beautiful Rubi Valley and Buddhigandaki Valley. The valley was named after the gem after the most valuable ruby, quartz, and nilam were found in this area. The combination of amazing nature and spectacular culture makes this trekking more interesting and memorable. During the trek, the trekker does not require much effort as it is graded as easy trek and is suitable even for the age group of 50-70 who wish and will to travel along with the lavish nature with local people of a variety of ethnic groups.

As the trek allows the tourist to interact with people of several cultures and accommodate in homestays, the tourist gets to taste the authenticity of Nepali Cuisine and even see the cultural dance, wear cultural attire as per their wishes. Visiting this trail during the festive season is an amenity to the tourist as they can observe the cultural practices and traditions of the local people there of a different culture. Being able to participate in such activities can be more fascinating to the tourist.

From March to May or September to November, the beauty of blossoming rhododendron, orchids, a variety of fern family, blue pine, and much more flora can also be enjoyed during the trek. Itinerary

Day 1
Kathmandu to Gangajamuna

Pick clients from KTM for early morning departure with B/F and lunch on the way. 5 hrs drive to Gangajamuna and a short hike to Chimchowk for a mesmerizing view of hills, landscapes and settlements. O/N stay in Gangajamuna.

Day 2
Gangajamuna to Pokhadaada

Early morning B/F and depart for the trek to Pokhadaada via Tinsure Bhanjyang which is the highest elevation point in the trek. Enroute Lunch. O/N stay in Pokhadaada. This day requires 6 – 8 hrs trek.

Day 3
Pokhadaada to Mantari

B/F in Pokhadaada and descend to Mantari via
Sadan requires 4 – 6 hrs of a walk. Lunch enroute and O/N stay in Mantari.

Day 4
Mantari to Rigne

B/F in Mantari and depart for Netra tal which is formed by the glacier-fed river, originating from Ganesh Himal range, suitable for boating via Katike and Baguwa Khola. Enroute Lunch. Head towards Rigne and O/N there. It would take 6 – 8 hrs of trekking this day including the time for recreation.
Day 5 – Rigne to Kur

Day 5
Rigne to Kuringtar

Early Morning B/F in Rigne and depart to Dhadhingbesi for Lunch by walking for 4 – 6 hrs. Drive to Kurintar and O/N stay in Hotel.

Day 6
Rafting in Trisuli River and back to KTM

Heavy B/f in Htl and drive to Charaudi.
Rafting in Trisuli River. Lunch there in the resort. Drive back to KTM.
