Overview
Kakani is an attractive hill station with a lush rhododendron forest overlooking the Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, Annapurna ranges and Manaslu Himal. It also is a popular picnic destination among the valley people. It has two canyons, I.e. Phung Phungye (185 meters) located at the village of Dhansar and Chhahare (145 meters) located at the village of Jurethum. The lifestyle here is rural and the locally made Strawberry whiskey is the most known here. The best time to visit here is June/ July and August/ September.
