Overview

Mardi Himal with Annapurna Base Camp ABC trek offers extraordinary experiences for Himalayan hikers, which will combine trails from the Mardi Ridge to Annapurna Base Camp. The Mardi Himal Trek is a comparatively short and less crowded trek compared to other treks in the Annapurna region. It offers striking views of the Annapurna range, Mardi Himal, and Machapuchare while passing through charming villages, rhododendron forests, and serene high-altitude meadows.
Outline Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival- Transfer to hotel
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
Day 03: Drive/fly to Pokhara (30 minute/6hrs.)
Day 04: Drive to Kande 1 hrs.- Trek to Deurali 2100m. 3/4 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Forest Camp (2500m., 4/5 hrs.)
Day 06: Trek to Badal Danda (3210m., 4/5hrs.)
Day 07: Trek to High Camp (3700m., 3/4 hrs.)
Day 08: Trek to Mardi B.C- Back to Low Camp (3000m.,8/9 hrs)

Day 1 :

Arrival to Kathmandu/Transfer to Hotel

Our Representative will come to pick you at Tribhuvan International airport and escort you to designated hotel, at the evening : meet your travel agent/guide and discuss about the program followed by welcome dinner at typical Nepali Restaurant.

Day 2 :

Guided sightseeing in Kathmandu city

After Breakfast at your hotel, our city guide will take you to UNESCO heritage sites for sightseeing like Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Durbar Square and Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 :

Fly/Drive to Pokhara/ transfer to hotel

Today, you will either fly or Drive to Pokhara (It depends on agreement). Pokhara is a second largest and beautiful city of Nepal where your trek will begins. You will hang around near lake side and enjoy your dinner. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 4 :

Drive to Kande 1 hrs.- Trek to Deurali 2100m. 3/4 hrs.

After Breakfast, you will drive with our staff (Guide and Porter) to Kande, which will take about 1 hrs. Then, steeply climb up to Australian camp (a popular place for sunrise and stunning views). after few minute you will reach Pothana where you will take lunch and gradually walk to Deurali with the views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu himalaya. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 5 :

Trek to Forest Camp (2500m., 4/5 hrs.)

Start the trek in the morning from Deurali, head towards the forested areas. The track ascends through rhododendron forests with infrequent glimpses of the Himalayas. The trail becomes quieter as you head into the deeper forests, and the atmosphere become more peaceful. You will Enjoy the verdant greenery and clean, fresh mountain air. Overnight at Guest House

Day 6 :

Trek to Badal Danda (3210m., 4/5 hrs.)

Leaving Forest Camp, you will Continue your ascent to Badal Danda, which is set within a beautiful rhododendron forest with great views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Machapuchare and many more. A amazing spot for the magnificent 360* views, Relax and enjoy. This is a moderately step track walk day, giving you time to acclimatize. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 7 :

Trek to High Camp (3700m., 3/4 hrs.)

The trail ascends further headed for High Camp, where you’ll practice the emotion of being in the alpine region. As you move toward High Camp, the landscape becomes more spectacular. The region offers splendid views of Mardi Himal, Machapuchare, and the Annapurna Himalayan ranges.

Day 8 :

Trek to Mardi B.C 4500m,- Back to Low Camp (3000m.,8/9 hrs)

This Morning, you will Start early for the Sunrise from Viewpoint 4200m. and move towards of Mardi Himal Base Camp 4500m. Don’t forget to take some packing breakfast. The trek takes about 3-4 hours from High Camp. After spending some time at the Base Camp, descend back to High Camp. The panoramic views from the base camp are impressive, and it’s a wonderful place for picture. Later on, move down back to High Camp and take a hot lunch. After resting sometime at High Camp, you will slowly trek down to Low camp. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 9 :

Trek to Landruk Village (1640m, 5/6 hrs.)

Leaving Low Camp after breakfast, Trekking trail is typically steeply downhill through rhododendron forests with the views of the Annapurna range. After short walk to Deurali, which is a small spot before the steep descent towards Landruk, you will take a rest and Enjoy the scenery and fresh air. Then, the trail become steeper, downward through terraced fields and tiny-beauty villages. Landruk is a settlement of Gurung village where you will enjoy with warmer climate and local organic foods. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 10 :

Trek to Chhomrong Village 2170m./ 5-6 hrs.

After Breakfast at Landruk village, you will gradually walk down to New Bridge above the Modi Khola and short climb to Jhinu Danda where you will enjoy the lunch. After lunch, you will gently climb up to beautiful village of Chhomrong. The trail passes through the local villages. Chomrong village offers a grand view of the Annapurna South and Machapuchare. At Chhomrong, you will find Bakery café with coffee, souvenir shops and several Tibetan shops. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 11 :

Trek to Bamboo 2310m./ 5 hrs.

At Chhomrong, Steeply descent to the Chomrong Khola and then a gently climb up to the Sinuwa village through local village. Thean the trail becomes through dense greenery forest with bamboo, oak and rhododendron with the sounds of running water along the way. Bamboo is a very tiny village with few lodges by the locals into the Annapurna conservation area project. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 12 :

Trek to Deurali 3230m./ 5-6hrs

From Bamboo, The trail ascends through forests and follows the Modi Khola. As you are climbing to the destination, the landscape becomes more rugged and alpine. You will enjoy the views of rocky peaks as you getting closer to the high-altitude Himalayan area. The weather becomes chilly, and the vegetation starts to slender out. On the way, you will visit Baraha Temple just below the Himalaya and observe the views of waterfalls and hinku cave. From Baraha Temple, any kinds of meat is prohibited. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 13 :

Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4130m./4-5 hrs. hrs.

After Breakfast at Deurali, you will follow the Modi Khola river side under the Hiunchuli Mountain, this area can be dangerous in snowing time, it can be chance to fall avalanche. The path gradually climb through the alpine meadow and rocky paths to the Annapurna Base Camp. If you will feeling physically not good, there is a settlement at Machhapuchhre Base Camp in between Deurali and ABC. As you arrive at the base camp, you'll be enclosed by the highest peaks in the world, including Annapurna I, Gangapurna, Gandharbachuli, Singu Chuli, Machapuchare and several peaks. The views are eye-catching, stunning and amazing! Enjoy at Annapurna Base Camp. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 14 :

Trek back to Bamboo (2310m./ 6-7 hrs.)

Early morning, you will enjoy with sunrise and take several photos. After having Breakfast and packing your belongings, you will trek down to similar route to Bamboo. Overnight at Bamboo.

Day 15 :

Trek back to Jhinu Danda (1780m./ 6 hrs.)

From Bamboo, you will follow the similar path to Jhini Danda through the Sinuwa and Chhomrong village with the relaxing walk with local village-fields-forest. The trail is quite up and down, you will careful while walking down. After reaching Jhinu Danda, you will check into the guest house and slowly walk down about 20 minute to reach Hot Spring just at the bank of Modi Khola Its a natural massage to be at Hot Spring after a long day of trekking. Enjoy with hot bath and some cold drinks. Return to Guest house and enjoy the last dinner at Mountain with our staff (Guide and Porters). Our staff will sing and dance to make your trek happy.

Day 16 :

Cross the Long suspension bridge and Drive to Pokhara 4 hrs.

After a long sleep.. may be!!! take a hot breakfast, pack your rucksack and follow our staff to the car just after few minute walk to next side of the bridge. Drive to Pokhara through the beautiful village of Ghandruk, syauli Bazaar, Birethanti and Lumle. After reaching Pokhara, you will enjoy you evening. There are several shops, restaurant and spa. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 17 :

Drive/Fly to Kathmandu

After a long days of trek to Mountain, finally: you will reach Kathmandu either by land surface through the countryside views or stunning views of Himalayas by plane. Transfer to Hotel. Meet you travel agent, share your experiences. Enjoy dinner. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 18 :

Reserve day in Kathmandu

Today, you could take your time and manage/pack and shop whatever you like in Kathmandu for last minute. Enjoy !

Day 19 :

Final Departure

Our representative will drop you to Tribhuvan International Airport. Just keep in mind to visit Nepal again!!! Naturally nepal, once is not enough. Wish you have a safe and nice flight back to Home!! good bye!!!
