Arun Valley Trek - 15 Days

On your arrival in Kathmandu, our team will welcome you and escort you to your hotel. You can have your time there you can relax or enjoy your day visiting various sites in Kathmandu or Thamel area. You can find various activities to do in the bustling city. Nightlife and various restaurants providing you cuisines from all around the world in Thamel is something to experience. The local shops around can provide you almost anything you want from food to sweet souvenirs to take back home. You will be staying overnight at the hotel.

The next morning flight is taken from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar overviewing the magnificent view of the hills, gorges, terrains, and beautiful Himalayan range of eastern Nepal over the clear sky until we land in Tumlingtar. After arriving on Tumlingtar, we start the trek through the trails of the forest, moving towards the small village called KumaL gaon, crossing the bridge which leads to the settlement of Bheteni. We will be stopping shortly for lunch in a place called Chewabesi. Passing through the subtropical forest and continue walking to the bank of Arun river crossing the village of Rai, Brahmins, Chetrri to reach Kartike village. Will be staying overnight in Kartike.

Start a journey trekking through the bridge to cross the Arun river and reach Baluwa Besi. The trail goes through sal forest passing several villages, terrains reaching the Rai village in Marduwa. Walk some more through the trail to reach Gothe. Will be staying overnight in Gothe.

From Gothe we pass through RAI and Sherpa village, cross Likhuwa Khola through the bridge to reach Dobane. Passing villages and terrains and forest that comes next on the trail reaching Phedi. Will be staying overnight in Phedi.

From Phedi ascending the streams passing through the dense forest to reach the village called Thulo phokte. Climbing up the forest of Rhododendron, oak, and reach Gurase. Will be staying
overnight in Gurase.

Pass the trail through the alluring Rhododendron forest to reach Salpa pokhari. Salpa pokhari is the holy pond which is situated in the Salpa Bhanjhyang. Every year in October there is a festival held on the pond by the Hindu pilgrimage. This area is rich in flora and fauna. One can see the view of Makalu and Chamlang from the Salpa Bhanjhyang. Moving on the hillside and damp forest we reach Sanam. Will be staying overnight in Sanam.

From Sanam climb down the Rhododendron forest, pass through beautiful Sorung village. Cross Gudel, another rai village, and Hinku river through suspension bridge pass the terrace vegetation and reach Bung. Visit the Makalu Conservation Area. Stay overnight in Bung.

Cross hills and cliffs to reach Najindingma village. On the arrival of Najindingma village, clear areas of savannah can be seen where the people of local settlement can be seen grazing their yaks. Cross another moist forest to take us to Gaikharka. Will be staying overnight in Gaikharka.

Trek up and down the dense forest of Rhododendron and Juniper along the bank of Inkhu River to reach Vasme. One can overlook the Mera peak and glimpse of the upper Khumbu valley. Will be
staying overnight in Vasme.

Pass through the Rhododendron forest from the village of Vasme to reach the Panggom La Pass. From the Panggom La Pass mesmerizing views of the Kangtega, Kusum Kangaro, Mera Peak along with the other peaks can be enjoyed. Take the route to the beautiful Sherpa valley one can visit Paldiorken Choling Gompa and Hillary school. Will be staying overnight in Panggom.

Over trekking on the way to Kari La to Paiya beauty of many Himalayan ranges can be seen, Kusum Kangaro, Thamserku and Kangtega. After crossing the paiya river through the wooden
bridge we can reach Paiya. Will be staying overnight in Paiya.

Cross the lush forest and vegetation Chutok La arrives. On the route to phakding, many monasteries can be seen. As we walk through the small village of the Sherpa is reached. It gives you the best of the views of the breathtaking nature. Will be staying overnight in Phakding.

Through Rhododendron forest and pine trees cross the Dudh Koshi River by a suspension bridge. As we arrive in Lukla, many monasteries and prayer flags will be welcome you. It is the ending of the trek. Celebrate as in the accomplishment of the trek.

Fly back to Kathmandu in 40 minutes on the flight from Lukla. The view of the mighty mountains is marvelous. You will be escorted to your hotel from Kathmandu airport. You can
enjoy your day resting or shopping in the local market. Will be staying overnight in Kathmandu.

On the day of departure, our team will drop you at the airport after your breakfast at the scheduled time. See you again.
