Overview

After few hour drive from Kathmandu, our trip Start from Dolalghat which is known to be the put-in- point of this Sunkoshi river rafting tour continues through Tarang Gaon, Dumja, Khurkot, Likhu Khola, Harkapur village, Bonjour Ghat and finally concluding our trip to Barahchhatra from where you will drive to Chatara and then to Kathmandu with a bunch of memories. You will be able to see the high mountains, open valley, forest, and small remote villages at the beginning of this trip.

This journey influences any rafters with relaxing canyons, refreshing waterfalls, bat caves, interesting temples. The change in scenario and climate will help to ensure that every day you will spend on this trip is exciting and different. To assure you that you are in safe hands, we will provide you Nepal Government licensed river guides, who have completed Red Cross first aid training for your safety.

Itinerary

Day 1
Kathmandu – Drive to Dolalghat – Khalte Chainpur

After having our breakfast we will head toward our new destination. It would be around 3 hrs. drive from the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu to Dolalghat. Dolalghat is the put-in destination of the Sunkoshi river. Our day ends today in Chainpur and we would spend our night there.

Day 2
Rafting trip to Likhu Khola

Having our breakfast we will raft down and encounter the first Class III rapid which is known as Meat Grinder. A few kilometers down we will encounter the Tama Koshi or “River of Copper” as it meets the SunKoshi river. We will be able to explore the unique landscape and the natural beauty of Nepal. We will set our camp our day ends with a dinner by the campfire in LikhuKhola.

Day 3
Rafting trip to Harkapur

The size of the rapids on the river will surprise. The inhabitance of Newar ethnic will give you the experience of unique Nepalese culture. After lunch, no thread of waves the water splashes across the boat. Later, rest in the sandy beach is chosen for the day rest. We ill spend our night here in Harkapur.

Day 4
Raft to Rasuwa Ghat

We will have our breakfast and move a few kilometers of the Likhu Khola a long Class IV rapid named Likhu Rapid is encountered. After lunch, our ride takes across interesting rock formations on the walls. The white water gets more exciting and the day ends in a small village called Rasuwa Ghat. We will spend our night there and camp there with a lifetime memory.

Day 5
Rafting to Jungle Corridor

After having our breakfast we will start the day with a lot of enthusiasm. After some kilometer, while rafting SunKoshi meets DudhKosi(the river having the color as pure as the color of milk). As the mixture of both the river, it will make the trip more thrilling. We will end our day in the Jungle Corridor setting the camp.

Day 6
Raft to Big Dipper

After having our breakfast, we will start our day today is a hard day full of thrills as there are many rapids
to face. We will end our day here and set out camp and enjoy the night with singing and dancing.

Day 7
Raft to Triveni Dovan

After having our breakfast we will start our day. Moving through the force of the gorge the water flow through a narrow opening dense forest. We will today here have an opportunity to show under some waterfalls and gain life experience. Our night is set up near a waterfall that drops down from a height of four hundred feet this site is a few kilometers from the last major rapid, the Big Dipper. Overnight at Triveni Dovan.

Day 8
Rafting trip to Chatara

Today’s float is enjoyable after having our breakfast we will start our day. We will figure out the confluence of the three main rivers of eastern Nepal: Arun, Tamur, and Sun Koshi this meeting point is a good camping spot. The river then becomes part of the Sapta Koshi (the Seven Koshi)

Day 9
Chatara- Drive to Kathmandu

The last day of our trip filled with a lot of adventure journey memory. Today we will visit the famous Hindu Temple BarahChettra( where lord Vishnu is worshiped). From Chatara we will head toward Kathmandu.
