Nagarkot Sunrise tour will kick off a bit early in the morning so that you won’t miss the solid sunrise. Situated 32 km east of Kathmandu, Nagarkot Hill (2175m) is a popular tourist hill in Nepal crowded by hiking enthusiasts. It is one of the most picturesque spots in the region, distinguished for its sunrise views touching the Himalayas. We will initiate our tour with a short drive from Kathmandu leading North East on the pristine road catching exciting villages and towns of Thimi and Bhaktapur. Then we direct for a climb with an enormous view of Bhaktapur city and Kathmandu valley’s green farmlands and widespread tiny but pretty villages. An hour of a mounting on the narrow spiraling road by our ride takes us to the famous viewpoint of Nagarkot. Nagarkot is one of the great destinations near the valley that is fabulous for hiking.
The fury elevation of beautiful Nagarkot presents you with an astounding panorama of the Himalayas from west to east. You can see five of the world’s tallest mountains – Everest (8,848m.), Lhotse (8,516m.), Cho Oyu (8,201m.), and Makalu (8,463m.) along with their ranges of numerous small peaks in the eastern side. The western massifs of Dhaulagiri will be waving hello to you. The snow peaks look impressive and fabulous in both sunset and sunrise.

The path will ultimately lead you to Changunarayan Temple, which is enlisted in UNESCO’s “World Heritage Site”. Changunarayan temple is a unique ancient temple, one of the ancient in Nepal with the history that dates back during the Lichhavi period made by then greatest ruler named Mandev. The wood and stone carvings in the temple are also awe-inspiring, sublime, and one can investigate the level of the artwork of the most exceptional artist of that time. The stone encryption also dates back to 464 A.D. and says a lot about the greatest Lichhavi ruler Mandev. Your 4-5 hours trek is over once you reach Changunarayan Temple.
